Falcon Pacific Builders is pleased to announce the completion of construction for a 50-unit rental and retail building located at 28-16 21st Street in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens. The announcement was made by Joe Caraciolo, Chief Operating Officer of Falcon Pacific Builders, LLC. The developer of the property is The Saab Family LP.
“The completion of this development is an exciting milestone for Falcon Pacific and developer, the Saab Family LP. The project will provide a mix of affordable rental housing options in the highly sought-after neighborhood of Astoria,” said Joe Caraciolo, Chief Operating Officer of Falcon Pacific Builders, LLC.
The new 7 story steel and concrete building is 45,498 square feet, with 38,298 dedicated to residential and 7,200 to commercial space. The development consists of 50 apartments - a mix of studio, one bed and two-bedroom units. Twenty percent of the units will be allocated for affordable housing under New York City HPD guidelines.
“This development was created in a wonderful partnership with the Saab Family and architect Matt Markowitz. We are excited to see this valuable addition to the neighborhood, and to the much needed housing stock of New York City,” said Kent M. Swig, President of Falcon Pacific.
The architect for the development is Matt Markowitz, AIA. The building will provide tenants with recreational space amenities, common spaces in the basement and a rear tenant courtyard.
