In lieu of its annual Stenberg Golf Tournament, which was postponed due to Covid-19, Astor Services for Children & Families’ volunteer Golf Committee will be hosting a Golf Outing to benefit the nonprofit on September 1, 2020 at The Powelton Club in Newburgh, NY. Event proceeds will go towards securing personal protective equipment (PPE) for Astor’s frontline workers, as well as back-to-school kits for children served by the organization. Tee times, beginning at 8 a.m., will be assigned upon registration.

“This year has been filled with pandemic-induced changes, including cancellations and modifications to events that provide crucial support to nonprofits like Astor Services for Children & Families,” said Astor’s CEO Yvette Bairan. “We are immensely grateful for our volunteers, who are so deeply committed to hosting a fun, safe and impactful event to support the children and families we serve, as well as our dedicated frontline workers.”

Event tickets include 18 holes at the Powelton Club, a boxed continental-style breakfast with coffee and juices, a personal golf cart if required or preferred, unlimited premium beverages while on the greens and a take-out style lunch available to dine al fresco or on the course. Tickets are priced at $175 per golfer or $700 per foursome, and packages including raffle tickets are also available for purchase. Raffle ticket holders will be entered to win a $500 gift certificate to the Powelton Club Golf Pro Shop.
