Douglas Elliman’s Eklund | Gomes Team Brings Upper East Side Luxury Condominium to Market

7/10/20

Amidst pandemic, 163 East 62nd Street to launch via Instagram Live

Douglas Elliman, the largest brokerage in the New York Metropolitan area and one of the largest independent residential real estate brokerages in the United States, is pleased to announce the launch of 163 East 62nd Street, a new luxury condominium in one of Manhattan’s most prestigious neighborhoods, the Upper East Side. Developed by Churchill and designed by Ben Hansen Architect with interiors by IMG, the seven-story building was the former site of three townhouses. Fredrik Eklund, John Gomes, Glenn Davis and Justin Tuinstra of the top-producing Eklund | Gomes Team at Douglas Elliman based in New York, South Florida and Los Angeles are handling the exclusive sales and marketing for the project.

The 10 bespoke residences range from two-to-four bedrooms, spanning 1,318 square feet to 2,481 square feet. The penthouses will offer multiple private terraces with panoramic city views, while the townhouses have private gardens.

“This will be one of the first new development projects brought to market without a launch party, so we have had to pivot our strategy and streamline most everything digitally,” said John Gomes.

“Our introduction of the building to the market will be on Instagram Live with our strong following of over 1.3 million followers, the development’s great location and attractive price points, we believe it will be a huge success,” added Fredrik Eklund.

The open chef’s kitchens feature honed Luce di Luna slab countertops and urban brick concrete Gatling gray backsplash; custom cabinetry, and top-of-the-line Miele appliances, including a 36-inch dual fuel range oven, a fully integrated full-size dishwasher with hidden control panel and a 36-inch wall mount hood complete with Watermark fixtures.

Each residence offers spa-like bathrooms with oversized glass-enclosed showers with custom-designed Kohler sinks, Celeste soaking bathtubs, marble floors and Watermark fixtures.

Amenities include a part-time doorman, a state-of-the-art gym and communal roof deck.

Located in Lenox Hill on the Upper East Side, has some of the most magnificent historic architecture with world-renowned cultural institutions nearby including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Neue Galerie, as well as the luxury flagships of Madison Avenue’s shopping corridor and dining at Saint Ambroeus, Café Boulud and The Carlyle.

Prices for the two-to-four bedroom residences range between $2.5 million to $5.5 million. Sales have just commenced, with occupancy slated for next month. For more information please visit 163 East 62nd Street on Elliman.com or contact Glenn Davis at (917) 502-3629.
