Jack Resnick & Sons announced today that it has appointed Marlene C. Guzzino as Assistant General Counsel at the firm, effective June 15^th.

In her new role, Guzzino will focus on all legal issues impacting the firm’s six million square-foot commercial office and retail portfolio, including lease negotiations, acquisitions, dispositions, and mortgage financings. She will report to Resnick’s General Counsel Kalpana Gajjar.

Guzzino comes to Resnick with more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining the firm, she served as partner in the Manhattan office of Greenberg Traurig LLP, a Band 1 Chambers-ranked international law firm, representing retailers, landlords, developers, banks, and educational institutions in commercial leasing, acquisitions, and development transactions. Before that, she worked for Ralph Lauren Corporation, where she assisted with the management of a multi-divisional lease portfolio, including hundreds of retail and corporate locations nationwide.

Guzzino also held an externship in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and internship in the United Kingdom Parliament House of Commons. She received a J.D. from The Michael E. Mortiz College of Law at Ohio State University and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Fairfield University.
