“When we officially launched in 2012, a key part of our business strategy was to be a second-career oasis for performing artists and writers, like me,” points out Sarah Saltzberg, Bohemia’s co-founding Principal. “We wanted to offer a more lucrative alternative to waiting on tables in between acting jobs, along with greater flexibility.”
The performing arts focus significantly distinguishes the privately-owned, Harlem- and Washington Heights-based firm from other brokerages in the city. To reinforce its unique agent-base, Bohemia has developed training programs geared to creative personalities, which go beyond the basics and include role playing, precision pitching, and innovative marketing techniques.
