Davis & Gilbert Leases 86,000 SF At Rudin Family’s 1675 Broadway

National Law Firm Relocates to the 35-Story, 850,000 SF Class A Midtown Tower

The Rudin Family, one of New York City’s largest private owners, operators and developers of first-class real estate, announced today that full-service law firm Davis & Gilbert LLP has signed a 15-year, 86,000 square-foot lease at 1675 Broadway, a 35-story, 850,000 square-foot office tower in the heart of Midtown.

Davis & Gilbert will relocate its full-service mid-sized New York City law office from its current location at 1740 Broadway in summer 2020. The new lease encompasses the 31st through 34th floors and a portion of the 35th floor. The building features an efficient floorplate that provides the ability to layout a mix of private offices, meeting spaces, conference rooms and up to 10 corner offices per floor.

The new lease was negotiated in-house by Davis & Gilbert partners Robert A. Karin, Mark E. Maltz and Glenn E. Motelson. Rudin was represented by Pamela S. Leibow and Steven M. Fenton of Goldfarb & Fleece.

Davis & Gilbert’s arrival at 1675 Broadway is the latest in a series of new leases at the building. They include law firms Ballard Spahr and Roberts & Holland, as well as financial services firm Spielman Koenigsberg & Parker. Other major tenants at the property include global advertising and media company Publicis Groupe and fintech firm Bankrate Inc.

Built in 1989 by Jack and Lewis Rudin, the handsome green-gray Canadian granite office building at 1675 Broadway was constructed using the air rights over the adjacent Broadway Theatre. Designed by Fox and Fowle Architects and situated at the corner of Broadway and West 52nd Street, the building features an elegant Italian marble-clad lobby with vaulted ceilings, virtually column-free floor plates that can accommodate up to 10 corner offices, and a 60-car parking garage. The property is Wired Certified Platinum, recognizing its best-in-class internet infrastructure and connectivity. It is steps away from the 7thAvenue B/D/E and the 57th Street N/Q/R/W subway, which offers a direct connection to the Second Avenue subway.

According to Mr. Steinman, only three pre-built office suites on the 18th floor remain available for lease in the tower. The units, which range from 7,148 square feet to 12,921 square feet, feature brand- new workstations, conference rooms, private offices, pantry areas and phone rooms.
