One United Nations Park Redefines Midtown East Skyline

Solow Building Company announces the official launch of sales at One United Nations Park, the company’s highly-anticipated luxury residential tower in Midtown East located at 685 First Avenue. Rising 43 stories above the East River, One United Nations Park offers a collection of 148 gracious condominium residences boasting sweeping views of the East River and Manhattan skyline.

A veteran within the real estate community, Solow Building Company is known throughout the industry for its highly regarded residential buildings and management services. The building signifies Solow Building Company’s first condominium offering to-date, with its striking black glass façade a company trademark.

“Today marks an important company milestone as we begin sales of our first condominium,” said Sheldon Solow, Founder and CEO of The Solow Building Company, who was joined by his son, Stefan Soloviev, in the development of the tower. “One United Nations Park offers meticulously-designed homes with iconic views, as well as a thoughtful and comprehensive suite of amenities. We are proud to bring the Solow signature attention to detail and design to our first condominium project.”

A layered black glass form that rises 460 feet into the sky, One United Nation Park’s captivating façade is an unprecedented interplay of black and light, creating a balance that reflects the architecture’s bold exterior and luminous interiors. The western facade is defined by a second glass curtain wall that adds further depth and dimension to the condominium as well as creates one-of-a-kind balconies partially enclosed to enable privacy and protection from the elements, as well as an abundance of natural light.

“Minimalistic in form, yet architecturally refined, the striking presence of One United Nations Park is derived from its materiality of black glass and all its details. We look forward to the completion of this significant addition to the Manhattan skyline,” said Dukho Yeon, Associate Partner at Richard Meier & Partners Architects, the lead designer for the building.

Via a private driveway located on the west side of the building, residents can access a private underground parking garage through a gracious port-cochere and underground motor court. Both provide complete privacy as well as the utter convenience of direct access to the condominium’s residences. An elaborate glass frame forms the entrance to the grand, double-height lobby, which features travertine clad walls and floors.

While the outside of One United Nations Park remains a rich black, the condominium’s one- to four-bedroom residences, which ascend from the 28th floor, offer a striking contrast with a timeless combination of white, pale gray and earth tones complemented by refined surfaces of wood, stone and glass. Open layouts and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, which remain translucent from the interior of the building, redefine modern urban luxury and ensure the flow of natural light throughout each home. Spectacular duplexes with outdoor terraces are located on the 28th and 29th floors, with select units featuring double-height great room spaces and internal private elevators.

Elevating the standard of luxury throughout the city, the residences at One United Nations Park will also be fully automated and integrated with a custom system by Crestron. Each home will be equipped with a built-in Crestron ‘smart home’ system that regulates temperature, lighting and the motorized window shades. These functions, and the potential for others, will be seamlessly controlled by residents through any iOS or Android device on the “Pyng” app.

Residents of One United Nations Parkwill also have access to a comprehensive suite of best-in-class amenities that have been thoughtfully designed. Wellness and fitness aficionados will enjoy a top-of-the-line fitness center with private training studio; 70-foot indoor lap pool with breathtaking views of the East River; sauna; and steam room. Those on the hunt for entertainment will enjoy an expansive resident lounge with billiards table and screening room. A whimsical children’s room provides the perfect place outside the home for the building’s youngest residents.

Located in the thriving Midtown East neighborhood between East 39th and East 40th streets, just south of the United Nations Headquarters, One United Nations Park is situated in one of Manhattan’s most popular and well-connected areas. Just a short distance from the best dining and shopping of Midtown and the East River Esplanade, as well as the East River Ferry, heliport and Grand Central Station, the condominium is perfectly poised for buyers on the hunt for a home with everything Manhattan has to offer at their fingertips.

Pricing for One United Nations Park’s one-tofour-bedroom residences begins at $1,495,000. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is the exclusive sales and marketing firm, and the sales gallery is located at 300 East 42nd Street New York, NY 10017.
