Based in Freeborn’s Chicago office, Mr. Bush has extensive experience in complex litigation involving antitrust, insurance and reinsurance matters. He has been particularly actively in the representation of significant lawsuits and arbitrations for global reinsurers in disputes arising from large scale losses.

Also based in Chicago, Mr. Engel represents insurers and reinsurers worldwide. His practice primarily involves insurance and reinsurance coverage analysis, litigation, and arbitration. Mr. Engel has been lead counsel for insurers on a national basis in cases involving insurance coverage for environmental, lead paint, products, asbestos, silica, and pharmaceuticals, as well as professional liability matters. Bruce's representation of insurers in these matters includes successful jury trials. He is also experienced in addressing issues related to the underwriting, placement, and claims handling of facultative and treaty reinsurance contracts.

Mr. Goodman has three decades of experience advising the insurance industry on corporate, regulatory and transactional matters. Based in the Chicago office, he has represented a wide range of clients including insurance holding companies, insurers, producers, agents and brokers, and managing general agents. He also advises non-traditional sellers of insurance on insurance programs, including trade associations, retailers, banks and savings associations, and leasing and finance companies.

Managing Partner of Freeborn’s New York office, Mr. Hargraves concentrates his practice on insurance and reinsurance litigations and arbitrations on behalf of both ceding and assuming reinsurance companies, brokers, underwriting agents, and pools. In more than three decades of practicing, Mr. Hargraves has been involved in numerous high-profile reinsurance arbitrations and litigations and has successfully taken many cases to final hearing.

Also based in the New York office, Mr. Keely litigates and arbitrates commercial disputes with a particular focus on the reinsurance industry. He has successfully tried cases to verdict in U.S. state and federal courts, and to final award in arbitration for clients based in the United States, London, Continental Europe, and Asia.

Leader of Freeborn’s Insurance and Reinsurance Industry Team and also based in Chicago, Mr. McCullough has more than 30 years of experience representing insurance and reinsurance companies in both life & health and property & casualty matters. He has acted as counsel to insurers and reinsurers in more than 140 arbitrations, court, and administrative proceedings across the United States as well as in Bermuda, England, Continental Europe and Australia, including some of the highest-profile cases in the industry.
