Helmsley Spear, LLC, America’s oldest continuously operating real estate firm founded in 1866, is pleased to announce the appointment of Josh Friedman as a licensed real estate agent focusing on the commercial leasing segment of the real estate market place. Mr. Friedman will report to Andrew G. Simon, Executive Vice President, and the announcement was made by Kent M. Swig, President of Helmsley Spear.

“We are very pleased that Josh has joined our Helmsley Spear team and we are certain that with Josh’s prior business experience in high end luxury products combined with his real estate background, he will be a valuable addition to our team,” stated Kent M. Swig.

Before joining Helmsley Spear, Mr. Friedman served as a loan officer with Everbank in Manhattan where his duties included loan origination; maintaining business relationships; participating in networking groups including real estate firm presentations; and working with real estate attorneys and title companies. Early in his career, he obtained experience as a real estate agent in Florida, which included home and land sales.

In addition to his real estate activities, Mr. Friedman has enjoyed success in extensive business experience developing relationships with “high-end” clientele, specializing in the jewelry business. He utilized these skills in both sales and executive roles for fine jewelry and retail products, including executive positions at Louis Vuitton and Tiffany.

Mr. Friedman has been the “real estate” member of a BNI networking group and referral organization in Manhattan, and continues to participate in other real estate networking groups and organizations.

Mr. Friedman is an alumnus of Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and C.W. Post Long Island University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
