MIPIM is pleased to announce that the 2019 MIPIM Award finalists have been chosen. Winners will be revealed at upcoming event MIPIM’s 30th Edition from March 12-15, 2019. Finalists from the United States include projects One Vanderbilt, Midtown Manhattan’s newest addition to the skyline, and Amazon Spheres, a unique collection of modern glass domes built between high-rises on Amazon’s Seattle campus.
One Vanderbilt is a 58-story state-of-the-art office skyscraper designed by American architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox. The 1,401-foot building is the quintessential 21st Century workplace, offering stunning views of the city and luxury amenities.

Amazon Spheres is a trio of biodomes designed by global architecture firm NBBJ. The firm drew inspiration from the United Kingdom’s beautiful Kew Gardens, Milwaukee’s Mitchel Park Conservatory and Italy’s La Biosfera to create a modern office space featuring distinctive elements of nature.
“We wanted a space for employees to collaborate and innovate,” noted Amazon Vice President for Global Real Estate and Facilities John Schoetter.
Jury Chairman and CEO of Gecina, Méka Brunel, reviewed 200 entries from 58 countries and carefully selected finalists from each competition categoryto move forward as finalists for the global real estate industry’s 2019 awards. Leading with six projects is France, followed by Germany and China with five, UK with four, and The Netherlands and Spain with three.
The award ceremony will be held at 6:30 pmon March 14, 2019 in the Grand Auditorium of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. Winners will be chosen from votes cast on-site by delegates and jury members.
