Helmsley Spear Announces Two New Team Members, Eric Nova And David Hirsch

Helmsley Spear, LLC, America’s oldest continuously operating real estate firm founded in 1866, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Nova and David Hirsch as licensed real estate salespersons. The announcement was made by Kent M. Swig, President of Helmsley Spear.

Eric Nova

Eric Nova brings to Helmsley Spear, a high level of expertise in commercial and retail leasing, landlord representation and multifamily projects among others. Over the past 11 years, Mr. Nova has worked under the tutelage of several excellent brokers until in 2014, he embarked on a journey and opened Nova Real Estate, a full service modern boutique real estate brokerage in South Florida. Mr. Nova returned to New York City in 2016, and started in the New York City real estate industry and is now servicing his clients at Helmsley Spear. His focus remains on investment sales, office and retail leasing, and capital market transactions.

David Hirsch

David Hirsch has been an active entrepreneur for the last two decades. Mr. Hirsch began his career with a family business, Security Metal Products (SMP) in Los Angeles. Over the next 12 years, Mr. Hirsch rose to Executive Vice President of SMP and President of the Mexican Maquiladora, wholly owned subsidiary, Manejo de Ensambles. In 1996, Mr. Hirsch left SMP and stared a network architecture and web development company, Gaspra Technologies. Gaspra grew to more than 75 people and was annually tripling revenues. Mr. Hirsch subsequently focused exclusively on real estate development endeavors including “spec” house development and multifamily ownership/management. In 2009, Mr. Hirsch returned to a senior sales role at SMP and stayed with the acquiring company until 2015.

Over the last two years, Mr. Hirsch returned to real estate full time obtaining a Sales Associate license in both California and New York. Mr. Hirsch is an investor in multifamily assets in California in partnership with his brother. With a strong development background, Mr. Hirsch has focused on sales and investment properties as well as office leasing with his extensive contacts in the industry. Additionally, Mr. Hirsch assists his clients in completing capital market equity and debt transactions.
