DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Stacy Paz and Louis Lehot have been named co-managing partners of the Silicon Valley office, succeeding Rich Scudellari, who has served as managing partner and co-managing partner of the office since 2012.

Paz most recently served as vice office managing partner for Silicon Valley and is the co-chair of DLA Piper's Transactional Tax practice. She focuses her practice on advising clients in federal and state tax issues in mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, restructurings, limited liability companies and other pass-through entities, liquidations and other significant transactions.

Lehot is the co-chair of the firm's US Emerging Growth and Venture Capital practice. He focuses his practice in the areas of corporate, securities and M&A law, advising public and emerging private companies and their venture capital and private equity investors from formation to liquidity. This includes public offerings and private placements of equity, equity-linked and debt securities, mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, spinoffs, strategic investments and joint ventures, as well as corporate governance and securities compliance matters.

"Stacy and Louis are both outstanding lawyers who have already demonstrated their strong leadership capabilities in their practices, and we look forward to working with them in their new role," said Sang Kim, DLA Piper's regional managing partner for Northern California. "We are also grateful for Rich's years of leadership and dedication in this crucial market, during which time we've grown and diversified our practice and sector capabilities and recruited new talent to enable us to better serve clients here and across our global platform."

This year, DLA Piper has added a number of notable new partners in its Northern California offices, including Vanina Guerrero and Craig Lang, both partners in the Corporate practice, and Clayton Thompson and Jake Zolotorev, partners in the Intellectual Property and Technology practice, in Silicon Valley, as well as Jeff Tsai, a partner in the Litigation, White Collar and Investigations practices, in San Francisco.
