CBRE Tri-State Women’s Network Hosts Philanthropic Event with The Young Women’s Leadership School

4/8/18

CBRE’s Tri-State Women’s Network, chaired by Jamie Dennison, hosted a philanthropic event with The Young Women’s Leadership Network (YWLN), an organization founded by public education reformer and advocate Ann Tisch. CBRE held the event at the firm’s 200 Park Avenue office on March 27, 2018 and provided an introspective “Day in the Life” experience for 14 female students, all in the 10th grade.

The students met with CBRE executives and engaged in a fun and creative activity, “So, You Want to be A Broker!” They also learned about retail brokerage and had the opportunity to create and lease out their own fictitious retail center located across from their high school in the Bronx. Additionally, they heard speakers from the CBRE Women’s Network about other service lines at the firm and what it takes to work in commercial real estate. CBRE’s

Stefani Steinberg chaired the successful event.

“We were originally introduced to this worthy organization by our firm’s Chairman of Global Brokerage, Stephen Siegel,” noted Steinberg. “We have found that hosting events such as this one is a really powerful way to make an impact and empower young women in our community. We are honored to host such wonderful kids and enjoy the day with them.”

Founded by public education reformer and advocate Ann Tisch, The Young Women’s Leadership Network (YWLN) empowers students to break the cycle of poverty through education. The organization supports The Young Women’s Leadership Schools, a high-performing network of all-girls public secondary schools, and The College Bound Initiative, a comprehensive college guidance program for young women and men.
