Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A. is pleased to announce that Ellen Torregrossa-O'Connor has been elevated to position of General Counsel to the firm. Ms. Torregrossa-O'Connor will serve as the firm's key advisor regarding the law governing lawyers, governance issues, risk management, and policy implementation. She takes the reins following the retirement of Frederick J. Dennehy, who steadily and dexterously guided the firm in the role of General Counsel for eleven years.

Ms. Torregrossa-O'Connor is an experienced litigator on the firm's Criminal Law team, representing individuals and corporate clients in all facets of criminal law, white collar litigation, licensing and regulatory matters. Ms. Torregrossa-O'Connor is a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association and co-chairs its Public Policy Committee. She also serves as Vice-President of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey and heads its Legislative Committee. She sits on the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Association for Justice and co-chairs its Criminal Law Section. As a trustee of the Monmouth Bar Association, Ms. Torregrossa-O'Connor also co-chairs its Criminal Practice Committee. She is an appointed member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Jury Selection. She served on the District IX Attorney Ethics Committee until 2016, and is currently a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Professional Responsibility Committee.
