Crasche New York Receives First Order From Law Enforcement
North Slope Borough Police Department Purchases 55 Crasche(R) Hats
Crasche New York has announced that it has shipped an order for 55 Crasche® hats to the North Slope Borough Police Department in Barrow, Alaska. Many Crasche hats have been purchased by individual officers, but this marks the first purchase of the Crasche hat by a law enforcement agency.
The nature of individual police patrol in Alaska makes it advantageous for law enforcement personnel to wear protective headgear. The Crasche hat can be used by those in law enforcement for situations where head protection is beneficial, but a helmet is not appropriate.
The purchase has allowed Crasche to further expand into the law enforcement field, after marketing to those who take part in outdoor sports. On May 13-14, Crasche introduced its hats to attendees at the Officer World Expo in Washington, D.C.
"The Crasche hat should absolutely be worn by every police officer on patrol," says Robert Emmett, inventor of the Crasche hat. "It will definitely save lives."
Mr. Emmett cited incidents involving two New York City police officers who suffered fractured skulls and concussions while on patrol. "One officer was in a scuffle in the subway that went down onto the tracks, and another officer was sideswiped at a routine traffic stop," he said. "Both officers would have benefited from wearing a Crasche police hat. Why take the chance?"
The Crasche hat is 100% Acrylic. The outer layers of the inserts are composed of a strong polycarbonate plastic. The inner layers are made of neoprene rubber and contain a series of air chambers that help cushion the impact and help spread the force of the impact over the entire insert.
The Crasche protective hat for law enforcement is available online for $27.95. All Crasche hats provide impact protection and are manufactured here in the United States. For more information, visit www.crasche.com.
