Aon Hewitt has signed a 10-year lease renewal for 50,000 square feet at Somerset Corporate Center I in Bridgewater, N.J.

The CBRE team of John G. Nugent, Edward J. DaCosta and Christopher Adamo represented Aon Hewitt, a global provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and human resource consulting and outsourcing. Building owner SJP Properties was represented in house.

Completed in November 1997 and 100-percent leased prior to completion, the 250,000-square-foot Somerset Corporate Center I has a tenant roster that also includes Brother International and Merrill Lynch.

One of SJP’s signature developments, Somerset Corporate Center is located with direct access to Interstate 78 and Interstate 287, along Routes 202/206.

The most prominent feature at the Somerset Corporate Center campus is the 15-acre central park around which the center’s five buildings are situated. The park features numerous walking paths, sitting areas and extensive landscaping, helping to reduce environmental stress for building tenants. Additionally, private gardens at each of the five buildings include seasonal floral displays, fountains and park-style seating.

Numerous hotels, including the adjacent 300-room Bridgewater Marriot Hotel and conference center, surround the property. Located directly across Routes 202/206 is the nearly one million-square-foot Bridgewater Commons Mall, the second-largest mall in New Jersey.
