NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Focus Financial Partners, LLC, the largest partnership of independent wealth management firms, today announced that long-time Merrill Lynch Executive and Managing Director, Chris Dupuy, has joined Focus as Co-President of Focus Connections, a program that helps elite wirehouse teams successfully transition their business and launch their own independent wealth management firms.
Mr. Dupuy will be based in Focus? San Francisco office and will spend his time further expanding the Focus Connections program through business development, with a specific focus on counseling elite wealth management wirehouse teams during their transition to independent firms. He brings 29 years of Wall Street experience to the Focus team. I am thrilled to join the talented team at Focus and very much look forward to helping elite, entrepreneurial wealth management teams who are ready to provide clients with open architecture investment options and superior service by creating their own independent firm,? said Mr. Dupuy. ?I admire the Focus model, the expertise the team brings to each transition, and I am continually impressed by the caliber of the existing partner firms.?
Mr. Dupuy joins Focus from Merrill Lynch, where he has spent his entire career, starting nearly 30 years ago as an advisor and then moved on to assume a number of leadership roles, most recently as Market Executive of the Pacific Northwest Market, Head of the Wealth Management, Private Wealth and Asia International businesses, across eight states and 67 offices, and oversaw 1,400 advisors and a total 2,000 employees. He also served as a member of Merrill Lynch?s Executive and Compensation Committees.
?Focus is gaining extraordinary talent and experience with Chris. We have enormous firepower and deep pockets to resource this growing area of our business. We will continue to invest in this area as we celebrate the success of the Connections program and the continued trend of client assets and advisors leaving the wirehouses,? said Rudy Adolf, CEO of Focus. ?Chris shares our values and our focus on revolutionizing the wealth management space. He has proven himself to be an extraordinary leader throughout his 29-year career and has a strong track record. We look forward to him being part of the next evolution of Focus Connections.?
?Chris is a wonderful addition to the team, and we believe he will make great contributions to the continued success of the Connections program,? said Rich Gill, Co-President of Focus Connections.
