BlackRock Marginally Cuts Stake in Gannett to 4.8%
BlackRock Inc. (NYSE: BLK) has marginally cut its stake in Gannett Co. Inc. (NYSE: GCI) to 4.80 percent worth $181 million, according to an SEC filing.
The New York-based investing giant said it owned 11.10 million shares in the McLean. Va.-based publisher of dailies including USA Today. The stake’s value is based on the stock’s closing price of $16.30 per share on Sept. 10.
In June, BlackRock owned 11.30 million shares, representing a 4.88 percent stake then worth $166.58 million.
Last year-end, BlackRock had $3.51 trillion in assets under management.
