On Wednesday, March 21, 2018 Douglas Elliman and Knight Frank Residential launched the 2018 U.S. edition of The Wealth Report in the Bartos Forum of the New York Public Library sponsored by Citizens Bank. Over 200 guests attended to learn about the newest global wealth trends taking place around the world.
Following a breakfast, Douglas Elliman Chairman, Howard M. Lorber, along with CEO Dottie Herman and Douglas Elliman Development Marketing President and CEO, Susan de França, welcomed guests followed by an introduction of the report on behalf of both companies given by Knight Frank’s Global Head of Residential, Lord Andrew Hay. The presentation began led by Knight Frank’s Global Head of Research, Liam Bailey, who discussed the reports’ findings, which highlighted the key trends that are shaping global markets and provided key insights on the world’s wealthiest individuals.
Afterwards, Robert Frank, CNBC’s Wealth Editor moderated a panel discussion around the luxury sectors of real estate, private aviation and top destinations frequented by UHNWIs, as well as the current aesthetics the wealthy are looking for from fashion to personal residences. Panelists included Howard M. Lorber,Bradley Stewart, XOJET Chairman and CEO, and Pauline Brown, Former Chairman of North America for LVMH, host of Sirius XM show and author.
