Dan Tidwell has joined J. Fitzgerald Group (JFG) in Lockport as vice president, national sales. In this new capacity, Tidwell will be working as a brand ambassador and strategic consultant, speaking with new clients and potential customers about the capabilities of the marketing communications firm at a national and international level.
Tidwell brings to JFG a wealth of experience and a track record of success, including a 25-year career with Randall Reilly in Tuscaloosa, Ala., publisher of Equipment World and RentSmart magazines. During his tenure, Tidwell formed key business partnerships with leading customers including Caterpillar, Chevron, Bridgestone and Shell. He also led Equipment World to achieve market dominance with more than 50 percent of total market share while growing the trade media business at Randall Reilly from $2 million to $10 million over the course of seven years as vice president and senior vice president of the construction division.
The hiring of Tidwell also expands the reach for JFG, as he will be based from a new branch office based in Tuscaloosa, where he currently resides. In his new position with the firm, Tidwell will be focused on cultivating strong and professional relationships with new high-profile clients and partners throughout the U.S. and abroad, with a focus on highlighting the capabilities and achievements of the JFG team and how the agency can help improve their brand awareness and achieve better results with their traditional and digital marketing campaigns.
In addition, Tidwell will bring additional exposure to Space Between, the new ideation and dynamic training and meeting space that recently opened in Lockport. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Tidwell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature with a concentration in business administration. In addition, Tidwell is a member of several professional societies, including the Association of Equipment Management Professionals, where he formerly served as a board member, and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, where he served as both a former associate board member and membership committee member. He also belongs to the Construction Writers Association and Ornamental Communicators Association.
