12/4/17

NEW YORK, Dec. 04, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Labaton Sucharow LLP is pleased to announce that partner Christopher J. Keller has been named Co-Chairman and will lead the Firm alongside Lawrence A. Sucharow, effective January 1, 2018.

Keller, who joined the Firm in May 2000, was recently described by The Legal 500 as a “sharp and tenacious advocate” who “has his pulse on the trends.” He is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and has led the Firm’s Securities Case Development Group since 2003, which is responsible for evaluating claims on behalf of the Firm’s institutional investor clients.

Sucharow, who recently celebrated his 40th anniversary at Labaton Sucharow and whose leadership as Chairman has helped secure the Firm’s reputation as one of the top law firms in the plaintiffs bar, will become Co-Chairman. Sucharow and Keller, together, will oversee the Firm’s direction and its diverse practice areas of securities and antitrust litigation and SEC whistleblower representation.

Sucharow said, “Chris is a visionary and his standout, dynamic leadership has long been an asset to the Firm. We are delighted to make it official as he will now provide seamless and secure management into the future for our clients. It’s been gratifying to both mentor Chris through the years and watch him grow and excel in the field. I am greatly encouraged for the continued success of our Firm as he steps into this important position.”

On his expanded role, Keller remarked, “I am honored to join Larry in guiding the Firm as we enter 2018. I cut my teeth as a young attorney here, and I’ve been fortunate to have been mentored by Larry, an extraordinary litigator and leader. I’m also thankful to work with an incredibly deep and talented team of partners. I look forward to our ongoing success as we continue to provide top-notch representation and passionately fight on behalf of our clients.”
