PEF Services Announces Staff Promotions

Adam Gardiner

PEF Services, a leading fund administrator for Alternative Investment Managers, announced the promotion of Adam Gardiner to Director, Client Services, reporting to PEF Chief Operating Officer, Beth Manzi. Mr. Gardiner will be leading PEF's Client Services team with a focus on services that elevate performance for General Partners and Limited Partners. PEF also announced that Kevin Wolpert has been promoted to Manager, Financial Reporting and Compliance and David Garcia has joined the firm as a Manager in PEF's Financial Reporting and Compliance team. Mr. Wolpert and Mr. Garcia will be responsible for managing client relationships and leading a team responsible for providing fund administration services including fund accounting, financial statements, and capital calls and distributions.

Adam Gardiner, Director, Client Services

Adam Gardiner's career includes 16 years of experience in alternative asset fund administration including hedge funds, private equity funds, and fund of funds. His experience includes review of fund documents, client onboarding, preparation and review of financial statements, IRR calculations, investor allocations, and distribution waterfalls for simple and complex fund structures including master-feeders, special purpose vehicles, and tax blockers. Prior to joining PEF in 2013 as a Manager, Adam was a Vice President for J.P. Morgan Fund Services and a Vice President for Citi Fund Services. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Rutgers University.

Kevin Wolpert, Manager, Financial Reporting and Compliance

Kevin Wolpert has 10 years of fund administration experience in the alternative assets sector. He joined PEF in 2013 as a Staff Accountant in the Financial Reporting and Compliance Team and was promoted to Senior Accountant a year later. In 2016 he assumed the role of Supervisor and was recently promoted to Manager. Prior to joining PEF Services, Kevin was an Associate Securities Processing Analyst at Citigroup Hedge Fund Services, administering accounting services for multiple hedge fund accounts. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Millersville University.

David Garcia, Manager, Financial Reporting and Compliance

With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, David Garcia joined PEF as a Manager in the Financial Reporting and Compliance Team. His extensive experience includes public accounting experience at BDO Seidman LLP, Controller positions with private equity firms, and Vice President at SS&C Technologies. David has managed all aspects of private equity firms including all accounting, tax and audit functions, establishing internal policies and procedures, review of new fund documents, due diligence requests, and reviewing investment valuations. David is a CPA and has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Bernard M. Baruch College.
