The New York Women’s Foundation and Their Grantee Partners Star on October 28 Episode of NBC’s “GIVE”

On the October 28 episode of “Give, NBC’s reality show highlighting the work of small charities making a big impact, and its first episode to highlight women’s philanthropy, celebrity ambassador and Food Network personality Sunny Anderson visits two New York charities building expansive futures for girls and women. Along the way, she learns about grantmaking from Ana Oliveira, President and CEO of The New York Women’s Foundation and helps decide how to distribute $50,000 from The Foundation between the two organizations.

The pair, The Brotherhood/Sister Sol of Harlem and Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, were selected by The New York Women’s Foundation for their innovative programs and exceptional work as anchors of the community and agents-of-change. Each provides opportunities for girls and women to pursue self-reliance and economic security through a range of educational programing, cultural enrichment and other support services.
