AppNexus, the world's leading independent advertising technology company, today announced the appointment of Nithya Das to the new role of Chief People and Legal Officer; she will also serve on the company's Executive Committee. Das formerly served as AppNexus' Senior Vice President, General Counsel.

The combined role of Chief People and Legal Officer is new to AppNexus' corporate structure. As Chief People and Legal Officer, Das serves as a business and legal advisor to AppNexus' board of directors and senior management on the company's global legal matters and acts as the steward of AppNexus' talent and culture, driving all programs involving hiring, growing, and enriching AppNexus employees and fostering an inclusive, global community.
Das also serves as the chair of AppNexus' Diversity & Inclusion Steering Committee, as well as an executive sponsor of the AppNexus Women's Network, advancing a diverse and inclusive workforce within AppNexus and the broader industry.
