GBH Insights Appoints Daniel Ives as Chief Strategy Officer

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--GBH Insights, a leading market research and custom analytics firm, today announced the appointment of Daniel Ives as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Daniel will be responsible for developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives at GBH. As part of his CSO role, Daniel is also leading the company’s research platform and corporate strategy in the technology sector, which includes areas of GBH focus such as the smartphone ecosystem, cyber security, cloud computing, augmented reality, social media, and artificial intelligence among other areas across the technology food chain.

As part of the GBH Insights Technology Research Platform, GBH will publish research related to specific companies, industry thought pieces, technology deep dive analysis, and monthly technology industry wrap-ups to help its research clients navigate the ever-changing technology landscape in 2017 and beyond.

Prior to joining GBH, Daniel spent almost two decades in the technology space as Managing Director and Senior Analyst for the Technology, Media and Telecom equity research group at FBR Capital Markets in New York City, with a focus on enterprise software/hardware and the mobile landscape, gaining a strong reputation on Wall Street for his industry expertise and contacts. Most recently, Daniel was EVP of Finance and Corporate Development at Synchronoss, a global mobile cloud vendor, where he gained deep industry experience in the smartphone market across the United States, Europe, and Japan to further complement his industry expertise in the evolving next generation mobile and carrier landscape. Daniel has been commonly cited by major news outlets for his technology expertise. Daniel holds a BS in Finance from Penn State University and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
