Hudson Valley News Network Shifts Direction with New Leadership

An immediate change in leadership is in the works at Hudson Valley News Network, along with a shift in direction for the growing media organization.

The revamped network will focus on hyperlocal, rich media content delivery mechanisms for the communities it serves, including Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan, Westchester, and Rockland counties.

At the core of this evolution, HVNN.com's original founder Charlie Cornacchio will be taking the lead role as chief executive officer and managing director. As part of that role, Cornacchio has reorganized the structure of the company to better deliver the organization's new vision.

"Digital delivery has dramatically changed the way we consume news and has also changed the way companies engage with their customers," he said. "It has always been my vision to develop a media platform in the Hudson Valley that goes beyond traditional news delivery. After an initial three years of growth and development, I am excited to move HVNN.com in this new direction."

To accomplish the above, HVNN.com will be relocating to a new office, expanding the current staffing structure and developing select partnerships with local media and marketing organizations that are carefully designed to support the new focus of HVNN.com.

The network is planning a site relaunch over the coming weeks with an updated content structure focusing exclusively on hyperlocal community and business news delivered primarily through video and other rich media formats.

Additionally, select partnerships with local companies will expand the media offering to include cable TV, social media platforms, and a complete stack of marketing and technology support services. These partnerships will afford HVNN.com sponsors a broader spectrum of visibility while generating qualified leads and referrals.

As part of this HVNN.com vision and direction to strengthen the company by identifying synergies and matching alliances, Cornacchio has reorganized the structure of the company to meet the needs that the digital environment demands. Reporters, Paula Mitchell and Kathy Welsh remain as an integral part of the team. Patrick Cardinale, Jr. has been promoted to Production Supervisor, two part-time sports reporters have been added. Additionally, sales professional Tim Considine comes to the HVNN.com team from the digital ad sales department of The Daily Freeman.

Since launching in 2014, HVNN.com has grown its audience to more than 120,000 unique visitors each month, more than 300,000 monthly views and a banner ad click-through ratio that is three times the national average.

While providing daily news updates, information and feature stories, the HVNN video-centric network also produces local programming, including "Wake Up Rhinebeck," "Business Newsmakers," "In The Black," "The Galleria Mall," "Weekend Warrior" and sports programming including "The MashUP," "Inside The Game," and "One on 1."
