Colliers International NJ LLC Inc. (NASDAQ:CIGI, TSX:CIG) has arranged a 181,000-square-foot industrial lease for ASA Apple Inc. in Linden. The transportation and logistics solutions firm’s long-term commitment at 55 Wildcat Drive represents an expansion of its regional distribution operations.
Colliers’ Richard Mirliss, Richard J. Madison, and Alex Vitro represented ASA Apple in the site search and lease negotiation. CBRE’s Tom Monahan served as agent for property owner, Prologis.
ASA Apple is a public warehouse and intermodal transportation company operating in the Port of New York region. The 32-year-old organization specializes in overseas traffic coordination and end-to-end process management.
“Our client needed a NJ Turnpike-accessible location proximate to its other facilities in and around the Port Newark-Elizabeth area,” Mirliss noted. “This property fulfilled its geographic requirements, along with above-standard trailer parking, which was another prerequisite.”
Mirliss noted that availability continues to tighten in New Jersey’s port submarket and all along the NJ Turnpike corridor. “It is becoming more challenging to find product that satisfies specific tenant needs at acceptable financial terms,” he noted. “Prologis was responsive and accommodating, and this building offers modern, quality construction – making it a great fit for ASA Apple.”
