Founded in 1993, The Michael Bolton Charities supports and advocates on the behalf of initiatives and organizations committed to responding to the needs of children and women at risk from domestic violence, physical and mental abuse, poverty, homelessness and human trafficking.
NKF Executive Managing Director Robert Emden, along with his wife, Marjorie Emden, are co-chairing the efforts to support this cause along with The Michael Bolton Charities Co-Chairs Sammi and Scott Seltzer, and Gale and Ken Sitomer. As long-time backersof the Michael Bolton Charities organization, they have been influential in working alongside the entity’s leaders to secure a sold-out crowd for the “An Evening Under the Stars” event, in tandem with their support as platinum sponsors. Additionally, they have worked tirelessly for the cause, working around the clock to garner sponsorships, pounding the pavement to raise mindfulness, and coordinating program ads. The event, being held at a private estate in the Hamptons, in Sagaponack, New York, is being produced by Lawrence Scott Events and will feature a cocktail reception, a live auction, an intimate fundraising dinner, and a private performance by Michael Bolton himself.The Michael Bolton Charities has raised over $10 million in the last two decades from contributions and net income from special events similar to “An Evening Under the Stars.” Susan Shin, the evening’s honoree, has for years been personally raising large sums for various charitable initiatives by chairing major philanthropic events.

A portion of the sales from that week will be donated to The Michael Bolton Charities organization, and the initiative will kick off with an in-store event at the Southampton store on August 18th, from 3:00-5:00pm.
