Anomaly is pleased to announce the promotion of two leading talents from within, bringing the total number of Partners to 22 across the 7 offices, stretching from LA to NY, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Berlin and Shanghai.

This is part of its strategy to continually develop a broader and deeper leadership team as growth continues across the globe. Expansion has been both geographic and in scale – profit up 40% in 2016 globally, headcount now at 650, and new offices opened in Los Angeles in 2016 and Berlin in 2017.

Eric Segal has been with Anomaly for over four years serving as the Executive Creative Director. Importantly, he is both a leader and a doer, working across the New York agency's world class client portfolio relentlessly driving the standard of work ever upwards, contributing to the recognition of Anomaly as Ad Age Agency of the Year 2017.

"Eric has played an integral role in a lot of our success over the past few years. More importantly though as we look ahead, his passion, his talent and his leadership is going to be vital as we continue striving to deliver against the mission we've set out for ourselves. So, we're delighted to once again reward exclusively on merit and have him join the ranks of Partner. This is part of our strategy to ensure we do not follow the usual pattern of agencies gradual slide into mediocrity as they scale, but rather to ensure we continue to get better as we get bigger," says Carl Johnson, Founding Partner & Global CEO.

Jiah Choi has been with Anomaly in LA for just over a year serving as MD alongside CSO Aisea Laungaue as they opened the new office. They have recently been joined by ECD's & Partners Paco Conde and Beto Fernandez to complete the LA leadership line-up of an office with c.50 people and blue chip clients including Beats and The Coca Cola Company.

Carl added: "Based on quality of work, quality of talent, vibrancy of agency culture and business growth, it would have been impossible to have had a better first year in LA. Jiah was always really 'partner-in waiting' and if that performance wasn't good enough then I don't know what would have been. The exciting, and slightly scary thing, is that office is only warming up."

Mike Byrne, Founding Partner & Global CCO said: "As a company, we have a founding principal which Is in our name Anomaly - deviate from the norm. That means we live in a perpetual state of discovery. We want to continually get smarter, have more influence and push the boundaries of what we can accomplish for our clients, and for ourselves. And to do that, we need more great leaders who are empowered to carry that vision forward.Eric and Jiah are definitely that, so I'm really excited for this next chapter."
