Twice the Price Store Announces Grand Opening in New York

7/23/17

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Twice the Price store, a pop-up store that stocks hundreds of items at twice their regular price, is opening its doors for browsing today. This is the first Twice the Price store in the country – even though the idea for this one-of-a-kind store has been in the works for months! The new store is located at 69-43 Grand Avenue, Flushing, New York 11378, and will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.1

Sticker-shocked shoppers will find potato chips, party supplies, boogie boards, makeup mirrors, mops, bottles of water and more – all for twice their regular price. Everyone who stops by the Twice the Price store will have a very memorable shopping experience. The price displays show customers upfront that they’re paying twice as much. Why pay less when you can pay more?

“People ask me how I came up with this genius idea and I told them, ‘If Verizon can charge customers twice as much for four lines of Unlimited, why can’t I?’” said Uncle Danny, owner and president, Twice the Price store. “Did I copy Verizon? No, I was just inspired by their over-the-top pricing and the billions of dollars they’ve made. I wanted to give customers a similar experience in my store. We’ll sell anything for twice the price!”

You might be scratching your head right now...but, this concept is inspired by what the store’s neighbor, Verizon Wireless, is similarly doing: They are hooking wireless customers across the country into paying double for four to five lines of unlimited data. Right now, when a customer switches to Sprint, for a limited time, they can get four lines of unlimited data, talk and text for $22.50 per month per line. Plus, the fifth line is free.2 Verizon’s comparable plan for four lines is advertised at $45 per line: Twice the Price.

So stop by the Twice the Price Store to learn more about how NOT to get “hooked” by Verizon and see the value that Sprint Unlimited Freedom offers.
