Jewish Communal Fund Appoints Zoya Raynes as President

Jewish Communal Fund (JCF), the largest and most active Jewish donor advised fund in the country, announced today the appointment of Zoya Raynes as President, succeeding Noel Spiegel, effective July 1, 2017. Ms. Raynes has served as a dedicated trustee of Jewish Communal Fund for nine years, previously chairing the Marketing Committee and the Executive Committee.

"Zoya is a very sought-after board member who brings so much to the table in terms of her creativity, energy and deep commitment to Jewish community and the Jewish people," said Susan F. Dickman, Jewish Communal Fund's CEO and Executive Vice President. "We are so fortunate to have her serve as JCF's President, and benefit from her leadership. Everything that she does is with great passion."

During her tenure as President, Ms. Raynes says that she plans to focus on technological and other innovations, and the development of new services that will help to engage charitably-minded individuals and families of all ages. "We plan to continue our role as a leading donor advised fund offering personal service and a wealth of tools and resources to help our fund holders give more strategically and with greater impact," she said.

At age 41, Ms. Raynes has the distinction of being JCF's youngest president in the history of the organization. "She brings a unique perspective regarding what the next gen is looking for in terms of resources, education and tools when it comes to maximizing their charitable giving," noted Ms. Dickman. "We look forward to having her bring that energy to the leadership of JCF."

In her professional capacity, Ms. Raynes works as the Global Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at Amber Capital, having served in a similar capacity at CCP. Prior to CCP, she was a senior member of the Capital Introduction teams at Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns. Ms. Raynes began her career in the Salomon Smith Barney Sales & Trading Analyst program upon her graduation with honors from Drexel University.

Outside of the office, in addition to her responsibilities as President of JCF, Ms. Raynes is very active in the nonprofit and philanthropic community and serves on the board of directors of the following organizations: Jewish Community Relations Council, Council of Young Jewish Presidents, Jewish Heritage Program, UJA NY's Investment Management Division and Hadassah's National External Advisory Committee. She is also a 2012 Wexner Heritage Program Fellow and was named to the Jewish Week's inaugural "36 Under 36" list in 2008.

Ms. Raynes was born in Kiev and immigrated to the United States with her family in 1979. She is married to Robert Friedman and together they are the proud parents of Avi and Samuel Friedman.
