Broad Street Development Completes Rebranding and $5.4M Capital Improvement Campaign

Recognized for its expertise in creating outstanding value for rental properties, as well as condo product throughout New York City, Broad Street Development (BSD), the residential developer of projects such as 215 Sullivan Street and 184 Thompson Street in Greenwich Village, has completed the rebranding and major capital improvements at its luxury rental property, 298 Mulberry Street in NoHo. Immediately following the acquisition of the property, BSD began aesthetic and operational improvements to the property to further maximize its appeal within the highly sought after Greenwich Village/SoHo/NoHo area.

The ownership recently completed its $5.4 million capital improvements campaign, which includes a new roofing system with tenant private patio areas; state-of-the-art 24/7 fitness room; the installation of new double hung windows throughout the entire building; and the redesign and renovation of the lobby boasting Carrera flooring, wood paneling, LED lighting, and abstract artwork from Monica Perez and D.A. Metrov. In addition, all 96 individual homes (studios, one and two bedrooms) are slated to be updated by the end of the summer.  New interior renovations include wide plank white oak flooring, waterfall Carrera kitchen countertops, spa like bathrooms, and some units feature a patio or terrace and in unit laundry.

Located across from the landmarked, iconic Puck Building, 298 Mulberry Street also features prime retail space on the ground floor housing CVS Pharmacy, VIP Capital Parking and Makerbot 3D Printing.

“The rebranding of 298 Mulberry has been a great success.  There is a huge draw for this type of luxury product, especially here in this neighborhood.  Living at 298 Mulberry means surrounding yourself with Manhattan’s most celebrated restaurants, shopping and cultural destinations. The building is steps from SoHo, Nolita, The Village and the East Village.  It’s the perfect place to call home, and we are providing a beautiful environment for our residents to do so,” said Gayle Kennedy of BSD, who serves as the building’s Property Manager.

In addition to all the upgrades that help the luxury building set the benchmark for quality in the area, it is also pet friendly, has a live-in superintendent and is easily accessible via public transportation, boasting direct access to multiple subway lines including the B, D, F, M, and 6 trains, several bus routes, as well as the Lafayette Street and Jersey Street Citi-Bike stations just one block away.
