Post Acute Recovery Appoints Robert L. Pyles as Chief Medical Officer

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Post Acute Recovery, a provider of high-quality, outcomes-based outpatient addiction and behavioral health treatment programs, announced today that Dr. Robert L. Pyles, MD, has joined PAR as Chief Medical Officer.

An established leader in the addiction and mental health fields, Dr. Pyles has served as President of the American Psychoanalytic Association, the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society, and the Coalition for Patient Rights, among others. Dr. Pyles has received numerous awards and recognitions, including a Special Presidential Commendation from the American Psychiatric Association in 1997 "in recognition of superb invigorating leadership of the psychoanalytic community, dedication to a truly multi-faceted, comprehensive psychiatry and courage in public advocacy" and the honor of “Distinguished Life Fellow” of the American Psychiatric Association.

A Leader and Veritable Legend

In his new role, Dr. Pyles will assist in the strategic development of PAR’s medical and clinical programming and protocols. He will provide medical insight, expertise and leadership to ensure the PAR’s delivery of best-in-class substance abuse and mental health care services.

A recognized expert in the field of psychiatry, Dr. Pyles was appointed an Area and Component Liaison by the American Psychiatry Association, producing ten Practice Guidelines, including the “Practice Guideline for the Treatment of Patients With Substance Use Disorders.”
