Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that leading fund formation attorney Lior Ohayon has joined the firm as a partner in the Asset Management Group in the New York office.

Mr. Ohayon advises domestic and foreign banks, financial services companies and investment management firms on fund formation, asset management, compensation and regulatory matters across asset classes and investment structures in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Ohayon, who has developed a particular focus on the sponsor side of private funds, is known for his experience representing banks in the creation and operation of private investment funds.

He was named to Private Funds Management’s 2015 list of the top 30 private funds lawyers under 40 and is recognized in the 2017 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business.
