Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Lisa A. Gootee has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Real Estate Department. Most recently, Gootee practiced in the New York office of Haynes & Boone, LLP.

Gootee focuses in commercial real estate finance matters, including the origination and restructuring of mortgage and mezzanine loans. She also has extensive experience with the acquisition and development of commercial and multifamily residential properties. Her practice includes the representation of equity clients in acquisitions of large portfolios of hotels and other commercial properties.

Prior to her tenure at Haynes & Boone, Gootee spent two and a half years in the public sector as counsel to the New York State Homeless Housing & Assistance Corporation, a New York public benefit corporation that provides financing to not-for-profit corporations and municipalities to construct homeless housing. Previously, she practiced with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP.
Gootee received her J.D. from the Albany School of Law, magna cum laude, and also served as Associate Editor of the Albany Law Review. She earned her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
