Foodable TV and Specialty Food Association Partner on Web Broadcasts

5/24/17

The Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) Fancy Food Shows are bustling with new tastes as well as innovations in food tech, packaging, and prep. Now they’ll add broadcasting.

Working with Foodable TV, one of the leading media outlets for the restaurant trade, SFA will premiere the new “SFA News LIVE” during their Show in New York City, June 25-27. SFA News LIVE will offer online viewers behind-the-scenes segments and interviews with specialty food industry trail-blazers, creative gurus, critics, and legends.

SFA News LIVE will be filming on a balcony stage overlooking a main entrance to the SFA Summer Fancy Food Show. They’ll be right at the entry point to the Show’s new LevelUP attraction – an immersive exploration of the future of food that also showcases the industry’s past. Global food innovations, premier industry research, tastings of innovative products, and a retrospective industry timeline will all be at LevelUP.

“SFA News LIVE combined with LevelUP will be eye-opening even for those who have been at dozens of Fancy Food Shows in the past. Foodable TV loves nothing better than shaking the status quo and encouraging dreamers and fire-starters to tell their stories. Our LevelUP attraction will explore some of those stories,” said Phil Kafarakis, president, Specialty Food Association. “SFA News LIVE will invite our LevelUP experts to talk about the industry’s risk-takers and dreamers; and share the stories behind some of the most innovative products in specialty food today. And it will extend the world of specialty foods to an expanded audience using a multichannel approach to reach beyond our traditional constituents.”

“I’m excited to collaborate with the SFA and produce SFA News LIVE at the Summer Fancy Food Show this year,” said Paul Barron, founder of Foodable TV. “Our focus has traditionally been the restaurant and hospitality trade. It’s great to stretch further into the food industry by partnering with the fastest growing segment of it – specialty foods. And what better place to amplify that segment than at the largest specialty food trade show in North America?”

SFA News LIVE content will be available via social media, in the Specialty Food Insights section at foodabletv.com , and in the News section at specialtyfood.com.
