KPMG today announced the appointment of P. Scott Ozanus as Chairman of KPMG's Americas Region, effective immediately. The appointment was made through unanimous election by the firm's Americas Board, which chose Ozanus to succeed Bill Thomas, KPMG's newly-elected Global Chairman.

As a Regional Chairman, Ozanus will join the firm's Global Board and Executive Committee. Ozanus will maintain his current role as deputy chairman and chief operating officer of KPMG in the U.S., which he has held since 2012. Prior to being named deputy chairman and COO, Ozanus led the firm's Tax business.
