The New York City law firm of Barst Mukumal & Kleiner LLP has recently welcomed Clem G. Turner as the newest partner to the firm. Since 1930, BMK LLP has been providing comprehensive immigration law services and representation to its clients while remaining on the cutting edge of the latest policy reforms affecting immigration.

The firm has brought Mr. Turner on as Manager of their Corporate and Securities Group. BMK LLP specializes in business and investor visas and, with over twenty years of business law experience, Mr. Turner is uniquely poised to assist clients through the EB-5, EB-2, L-1 and other business immigration visa processes. "We are extremely pleased to have Mr. Turner joining our team," says BMK LLP Partner Deborah J. Notkin. "Most of our partners are immigration attorneys with a specialization in business. Mr. Turner is a business law expert with a strong focus on immigration. The corporate experience he brings to the firm is a tremendous asset to our clientele."

An NYC native, Mr. Turner pursued his undergraduate studies at Princeton University where he obtained his bachelor's degree in 1991. From there, he went on to obtain his juris doctor from Georgetown University, where he also served as Executive Editor for the American Criminal Law Review. Mr. Turner has remained a prolific legal writer, with a number of publications for the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA). As a Princeton alumnus, he served on the Board of Governors for the Princeton Alumni Association of New York City from 2010 to 2016.

Early in his legal career, Mr. Turner focused on corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and business & technology. He has worked with clients in a vast array of industries, including real estate, health care, entertainment, manufacturing, software development, e-commerce, and more. He made his foray into business immigration in 2010, practicing in immigrant investor securities offerings through the EB-5 program.

Quickly, Mr. Turner became a sought-after resource in the field of business immigration. He has been interviewed for several media productions, including NPR's Marketplace, regarding the EB-5 program. He frequently lectures at conferences and events in the US and abroad about EB-5 and was given the distinction of being in the "Top 25 Attorneys" for EB-5 Investors Magazine. Mr. Turner currently serves as the Securities Law Subcommittee Chairman for the Invest in the USA (IIUSA) Public Policy Committee.

Mr. Turner is admitted to practice in New York and California. He looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with the highly-reputed firm of BMK LLP.
