Proskauer Bolsters Health Care Practice with Addition of David A. Manko in New York

International law firm Proskauer has announced today the arrival of Health Care partner David A. Manko in the Firm’s New York office.

“We are pleased to welcome David to the team,” said Proskauer’s Health Care Department Chair, Richard Zall. “He is a recognized leader in regulatory and transactional health care matters and his range and depth of capabilities will be a great addition to Proskauer.”

Mr. Manko has more than two decades of experience representing various stakeholders in the health care industry. He advises on buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, governance matters, general business transactions, and health care regulatory matters including issues relating to the Corporate Practice of Medicine, the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute.

“As the health care industry continues to consolidate, clients are facing more complex and challenging issues,” said Mr. Manko. “Proskauer has an impressive, multi-disciplinary platform. I am thrilled to join the firm and work with my new colleagues to help our health care clients navigate the rapidly changing health care environment.”

Mr. Manko received his BA magna cum laude from Purdue University in 1991 and his JD from California Western School of Law in 1994. He is a Board member of the Primary Care Development Corporation, a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) dedicated to expanding and improving primary care in underserved communities. David is also a member of the New York State Value Based Payment Workgroup, which provides guidance to the New York State Department of Health as it implements payment and delivery system reform under the Delivery System Reform Incentive Program (DSRIP).
