Soon to rise 42 stories above Times Square, the $1 billion 378,000-square-foot Marriott Edition happens to be an ideal textbook example of how to fast-track a mixed-use skyscraper at the Crossroads of the World, on a corner where approximately 335,000 to 460,000 pedestrians pass by on a busy day!

So it was the perfect site for a group of 20+ students accompanied by Professor Richard Lambeck, Chair of New York University’s Construction Management Degree Program, to tour the site led by CNY Group’s Ken Colao, president. Retail tenants include the NFL and Cirque du Soleil, who will occupy floors four and five in the building’s six-story 70,000-square-foot retail component, while the hotel will be comprised of 452 guest rooms, numerous suites and multiple layers of social and entertainment space including outdoor venue space. The building’s exterior will feature one of the world’s largest electronic screens.
