Online Pet Supply Retailer Hires New Management to Keep Pace with Growth

Michael Lackman as vice president of Operations. Lackman brings a proven track record of operations and logistics management in retail and e-commerce industries.
As vice president of Operations, Lackman will be responsible for managing PetFlow.com's distribution, transportation and customer experience operations. Lackman joins PetFlow from his most recent position as director of purchasing & transportation of UncommonGoods, LLC. While at UncommonGoods, Michael designed and implemented new information systems algorithm for calculating order quantity decisions, created a proprietary statistical model to determine underage costs and order qualities and developed and integrated a proprietary zone-skipping coverage technology to enhance the profitability, efficiency and customer satisfaction of every shipped order.

Prior to joining UncommonGoods, where he was also the director of distribution and logistics, Michael began his career at McMaster-Carr - a private, family-owned supplier to industrial and commercial facilities. While at McMaster-Carr, he gained extensive experience in plant layout, conveyor and infrastructure design, as well as hands-on management of world class pick and pack operations. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
