Kleinberg Kaplan Announces New Department Chairs

Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen, P.C. is pleased to announce several new leadership appointments throughout the firm.

Eric S. Wagner has been appointed chair of the corporate department. Wagner focuses his practice on private investment funds, advising on regulatory and strategic issues related to their formation, operations and investments. For six years, he served as the chair of the marketing committee and succeeds Martin D. Sklar, who chaired the corporate department for fourteen years.

Philip S. Gross is the new chair of the firm's tax department. Gross regularly advises private investment fund clients regarding federal, state, local and international tax issues and is a frequent speaker on tax issues at alternative investment conferences. He succeeds Jeffrey S. Bortnick, who chaired the tax department for more than a decade.

Marc R. Rosen has assumed responsibilities as chair of the firm's litigation department. Rosen practices corporate and commercial litigation and was recognized as a "Rising Star" by New York Super Lawyers in 2011. He succeeds David Parker, who was chair of litigation since 1988.

Wagner, Gross and Rosen join other department chairs Ross L. Yustein, of the firm's real estate department, and James R. Ledley, of the firm's estate planning and administration department.

On a firm-wide level, Jason P. Grunfeld has been appointed client development partner. In this role, he will work closely with newly hired chief marketing officer, Paris A. Gunther on firm-wide marketing and business development efforts. Grunfeld advises hedge funds on regulatory and strategic issues related to their formation, operation and investments.
